If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone. A man should keep his friendships in constant

Friendship.
Like how it takes for two hands to clap,it takes both parties to keep the friendship going on. If only one party is maintaining the friendship, then forget it. It cannot be one party that keep on giving in to the other party and not vice versa. In a stead thing, this will lead to a break up, and the same goes to friendship as well. There's no use blaming the party that keeps giving in when its the other party who is causing the "break-up". Reminiscing the past happy memories with both parties is a nice thing to do, but in the real world, it won't and it never will be the same as before. There's no use hoping for a miracle or whatever, because it's a fact that the gap is already there.

Everyone changes, I know friends should acccept each other and all, but how to when it has already reached the limit of your tolerance level? It's not that one party doesn't want to tolerate the other, but its the other party who caused the problem until it hit the max. What more can you expect?

What's done cannot be undone.
Same goes to friendship, but distance drifted can be pulled back only if both parties to something to it. No use if only one party is trying to salvage the situation. Distance, gaps, can be pulled back together again when both partes catch up with each other and all, but something will still be missing. Maybe the feeling or something, gone means gone. Treasure your friends while you can, don't wait until you've lost contact and all before you regret.

Friends do comment each other.
It's the truth. Trust what your friends say and try to CHANGE.
Even though they maight say it in a sarcastic tone or whatever, it's still the truth.
Quarrels and all in a friendship won't be like stead, bonding closer to each other.
Only drifting further apart.
It's great to have good friends. Really, treasure them.

Friends don't use each other as substitutes. Friends are not meant for that. Friends are meant to be caring, bonded and understanding to each other, not meant to be treated as a substitute. Noone will want to be a substitute. Do you want to be one? If you don't then don't treat your friends as your substitute. Asking them out only when you have no company, then trying to patch back and asking them out again and again.

Friends, I'm saying TRUE friends, stay bonded no matter how long they didnt meet each other or how far apart they are. If there's any unhappiness among the friends, voice it out. True friends will understand, and will feel guilty and uneasy after voicing them out, but they will be still fine, still as bonded as before.

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
And I think this quote is quite true, but we can be stupid with new friends to. Its the bond that matters.
